Summary - the cause - the injury - today's quality of life?
Brain Aneurysm in Jan '97 lifes a garden dig it
Please share your experience at the time you became aware of the injury?
I was taken by ambulance to the closest trauma unit Madigan on Fort Lewis somebody there was bright enough to have me air lifted to Harborview in Seattle was there 51 daze total found out what they had done to me after it was finished they put a piece of my skull in a freezer because they we're going in & out so often 14 times over two weeks ya don't know much of anything while comatose Yahoo so one day I get a eceipt in the mail from them 14 procedures totalled 600 thousand 48 thousand bucks each time then guess 8 of those procedures we're simple angioplasty in a brain yeah easy as pie no doubt so I guess I found out a month or so after the facts what had happenned
Tell about the experience immediately after the injury. Surgery? Coma?
I went back home after the head work then to some therapy sessions as the frontal labotomy paralised my left side learned how to walk again that took 4 months
Tell us about the hospital stay after the survivor was no longer in a coma
recall family & friends came in for visits I even recall seeing folks that didn't come in that's morphine I reckon
Tell us about the time in rehabilitation?
going to therapy isn't something I really enjoyed but I wouldn't be walking now if I hadn't so was good I did then
Tell us about coming home!
Well my now Ex wife was still there that was no fun however so was my youngest child with her Nicholas John Wayne Houser he'll be 16 in a couple of days was only 2 when the stroke of luck almost got me

Well for me TBI is The Better Individuals met some really great folks on line at various brain injury chat rooms I don't sufffer from insanity,I enjoy every minute of it my online nick is Looney very appropiate of course
Tell us about life today?
I'm having a great time coding web pages & such the so called experts told me I couldn't do that after my medical history guess they don't teach them colledge folks all things are possible through christ Jesus
What do you want to tell others going through the same process? Treatments, understandings and actions that made a difference?
