“I have vague memories”
Category: TBI Survivor's Stories Written by Survivor
Summary - the cause - the injury - today's quality of life?
My head injury occurred in a town called Stockton-On-Tees, Middlesbrough, United Kingdom July 1st of 2009. I had just finished my second year of college. My first at Middlesbrough college when I bought a new bike in order to try and get fit and healthy.
I thought that if I kept it up then I would be able to cycle to college rather than get the bus, plus I would be saving money.
Please share your experience at the time you became aware of the injury?
It’s unfortunate that I don’t remember the accident at all. I do remember watching 2 of my favourite shows called Family Guy and American Dad but not the rest. I don’t even remember helping my Mum to do the garden the day before the accident. I do have vague memories or flashes of things that I think happened whilst I was in the coma.
Tell about the experience immediately after the injury. Surgery? Coma?

If felt so wierd because my room had been changed to suit my new life. It had now gone back to the way I used to have it.
