I fell down the steps at home on 24.11.12 and suffered a fractured skull and acute subdural hematoma. Craniotomy to evacuate this and on ICU in a coma for 2 weeks. Eventually came round and moved to neuro ward. Discharged in time to spend Christmas at home. Regular

Car crash. Closed head injury, diffuse. Quality of life getting better.
Please share your experience at the time you became aware of the injury?
I was told by a psychologist I probably had a brain injury and diagnosed a few months later. Found it unbelievable but followed rehab instructions.

I was a 38-year-old VP of sales for a Fortune 500 company; we were on a Top Performers incentive trip in Costa Rica. We were taken on a team-building event, ATV ride in the mountains. I've been told a rider in front of me stopped around a bend and I ran into the back of his atv, flying off head first into a cliff ...I then landed in a 5 foot hole and the atv I was driving came and landed on me. My only memory is waking up in the hospital wondering why people from work were in my hotel room? I was then told

Too long to describe it here but car accident 1996 was 28, in coma 40 days, 3 on Glasgow coma scale fragmented memory loss no short term. Was able to obtain my MA in rehab counseling in 2007, Still am living with parents....am disabled physically, left side does not work properly, was in hospital 100 days and did therapy off and on for years. Car accident in 1986. Life has certainly had it's challenges since the injury. I would say the most difficult part is it is not a visible injury to others.

Confusion and depression mostly.

Mva- severe TBI - with my proper manaent, pretty well. Good days/not so good days.

Tough to answer. 2 months or so? After, still hospitalized full time. Memory's still fuzzy from when I started to actually keep memories.
